Doesn't Toni make a lovely bride! That dress was stunning, and Toni wore it very well! I love to take shots that all come out looking like these. It really makes it look like I know what I am doing, but I can't take all the credit here, Toni was a great model! These are just a few of the ones I like best, but they are all so good that it was hard to pick the ones here. I hope you like these Toni, and the rest as well.

A Valentine's Day Wedding...

OK, I know there are a lot of people anxious to see these photos, and I am still in the process of editing, but I thought I would share a few of my favorites 'til I can get the rest ready. Valentine's Day is already the most romantic day of the year, then top it off with a couple that really seem to be meant for each other... well, let's just say, it was a day to remember! Not to mention it will be easy to remember the anniversary! The reception was a blast... with plenty of good music and great food. Thanks you two for letting us capture your special day, and Congratulation to you Toni and Jason! I just know you will grow old together!! Hope you like these few, and I will be getting with you soon with the rest!!

Toni and Jason where so much fun to work with. So full of energy and No Fear! They did everything I asked and even a few things I didn't. Some people just know what they want in a photo, so it doesn't take much encouragement to get them to pose. Congratulations on your Valentine's Day Nuptials. I am sure it will provide me with the best photo opts I've had so far at a wedding!!

Jamie and Dwight are Married...

On December 22, my good friends Jamie Seals and Dwight Bouldin were married. I have known these two people for many, many years, so I was honored they asked me to record their special moment. Being so close to Christmas, this event was all decked out in a holiday theme, and was very beautiful. There were snowmen and snowwomen everywhere, several Christmas trees and a plenty of poinsettias to go around. Congrats go out to these two and I really hope you like your photos.

Aren't these the cutest kids you've ever saw. They are Darlene Powell's grandchildren, and they were a joy to work with. I went to Darlene's home last Saturday, and just had a blast with these kids. They were so well mannered and took direction so well. Hunter, Gracie and Lexie... thanks for being so cute! Hope y'all like your photos.

Angie and Bill are Married...

Wednesday night was a special occasion for Mr. Bill Whitlatch and the former Ms. Angie Floyd! That is the night they became one family. And despite the weather not wanting to cooperate, the evening went off without a hitch. The ceremony was held at the lovely Bed and Breakfast, Bonnie Blue, and they had the place decorated with the colors of fall. If you have never been by to visit, I highly recommend you stopping in and check out how nicely they have remodeled the place. The ceremony and reception following was so beautiful, I felt very honored to have been chosen to document this occasion for the newlyweds. The following photos are just a few of my favorites I chose to share with you all... I wish I could have put them all on here because I am so proud of how well they turned out. I hope Angie will be as happy.

Jamie and Dwight's Engagement

Jamie and Dwight are getting married this December, and we thought it was time for the engagement photos. And for not really knowing where we were going to take these, I think we might have found the perfect spot. Jamie is getting pretty used to the way I shoot, but I think poor Dwight might have had just a bit of trouble with all of the silliness we went through. He also has a bad sensitivity to the light in his eyes, so we had just a little trouble getting shots with his eyes open. All in all, I think these shots turned out great. Hope y'all like them too. Last Saturday Yuliana and Jose became Mr. and Mrs. and I had the honor of documenting this special occasion. Yuliana made a beautiful bride and despite being a little nervous, Jose was the picture of a groom. The ceremony went off without problem, the weather was perfect, and the location was beautiful. Well again, if it wasn't for the short notice and the sweltering heat, I just don't think I would be getting many jobs this summer. Lucky for me, my barber is really pushing my name out there!! So if anyone needs a hair cut, make sure you stop in and see her. Also, I don't usually like shooting large groups of people, but WOW, what a great bunch these guys were! We had such a good time, and I really think it shows in the photos, (y'all be the judge) Either way, we did have a great time, and I hope you all like your shots!! Wow, don't these two make a handsome couple!!! Yuliana and my sister/assistant, Phyllis, both work at Hickory Creek Elementary, so Yuliana has been exposed to my work quite a bit. Phyllis is my number one PR person and takes every opportunity to solicit my services. I'm so glad Yuliana agreed to letting me take care of her photos for this special occasion, and I look forward to the bridal shoot as well as the wedding. O.k., I finally convinced my beautiful cousins to have another photo shoot with me. Being family, I think the girls have grown a bit leery of me and my camera, but I think they were ready for some new photos. And even though I've already turned over the proofs, I just wanted to share a few of my favorites with the rest of the world. I am certainly proud of these girls, and you know what they say... Hello again, and sorry for the inactivity the past few months. Between the searing heat and a broken toe, I've not been very busy lately. But now the toe has healed some and the weather is cooling down, and hopefully I am going to get busy again.
The latest shots are of Miss Erin Duncan. Erin is planning to participate in a beauty pagent in support of "Project Graduation", and she needed a good head shot for her admission. I was also lucky enough to be able to sponser her in her endevor. And with natural beauty like this, I think she is a shoe-in! Good luck Erin, and I hope you like your photos!!

Happy Birthday Duston! Thanks for inviting us to your party. It's the first party I've been to in a long time that ended in a volleyball game! It was good to see all of you having such a good time. Well, this has been grueling, and I am sorry if any of you tried the slide show and your browser locked up. I am going to try something else and will let you know when I iron out the bugs.

I need a web host!! It seems that the trouble I have been having was my host. I went with the cheap one and it really wasn't the right choice. The bandwidth, or the number of times a folder can be accessed, was really low and I went over just testing the slide shows!! If any of you know of a good web host that is not that expensive, please drop me a line!! Thanks and keep checking back for slide shows in the future.

Last night was a very busy night! First was the Smithville Fiddler's Jamboree, where I went to watch my friend Vivian Johnson open the show singing with the choir. Then it was off to the Warren County Saddle Club's horse show, where my cousin's were showing their walking horses. And of course, I had my camera along for the trip and here are a few of the shots I got from our night out. Congrats to Ashley for picking up another win (even though it was 4th place, you should have gotten 1st!)

Ok, so just like plans... they are made to be changed. Instead of going to Nashville, or Cookeville, we desided to stay in McMinnville and check out the shows here. The show at the Civic Center was pretty nice and it also left enough time to check out the show at Midway CC too. And as promised, I am posting a few of the shots I liked best. Still no great shots, but these were the best of what I shot. Click on each shot for a larger view, and let me know what you think.

Happy 4th of July everyone. Hope the day's events go well for everyone. I had hoped to go to Nashville for the fireworks but decided against it and opted for Cookeville instead. Last year Nashville was just way too crowded and HOT! It will probably be hot again this year, but going to Cookeville might cut down on the crowd some. I always like to photograph the fireworks, but I have never captured that one great shot yet. It has to do with location, and I never seem to be in the right one. Last year, I was poised on the Shelby Street Bridge up till around the time of the show, and then decided to move because I was being crushed against the rail from so many people, so we moved to another locale and just as my luck goes, we were behind a large building that blocked most of the lower stuff. Anyway, I am going to try it again this year, and if anything turns out really nice, maybe I will post them here. So have fun everyone and be safe. If you are shooting your own fireworks, be mindful of the drought.

Wow, I guess I need to get things going if I am going to make it as a photographer in this town. I haven't been getting that many hits on my other site, so I thought I would try out this blog thing for a change. I really want to make a go at this and I really do want to do the best job I can for everyone, but there is a lot of competition in this small town and some very talented photographers also. I can only hope that there is enough good folks here to go around. Check back soon to see any updates I might have, and hope to see you all soon.
